Today, natural gas is the most important energy source in Hungary: it accounts for more than 40% of the primary energy sources used.
E.ON Földgáz Trade Zrt is the largest gas trading company in Hungary. Our company supplies natural gas for every Hungarian gas service provider, and thus indirectly supplies each household. In addition, E.ON Földgáz Trade plays an increasingly significant role in the liberalized natural gas market.
The Company is dedicated to ensure the natural gas supply security of Hungary in the long run. Therefore, we maintain long-term gas purchase contracts from six separate sources to cover the country’s demands partly until 2015. The Company has plans and proposals for sustaining future natural gas supply, and intends to improve these ideas in cooperation with the stakeholders.
